In July 2026, our lawyers Ekaterina Kuteynikova and Sergey Ryapisov took part in the VII Summer Academy of the Russian Institute of Modern Arbitration (RISA) — an annual programme for early-career arbitration practitioners.
Together with Sergey Ivanov, Principal Counsel at the Russian Arbitration Center, they led a workshop on drafting procedural documents in arbitration.
Participants were asked to prepare their homework, a short document based on identical facts before the session. Working through the submissions together, the speakers explored what makes procedural writing effective: knowing your reader, structuring your argument, and overcoming the blank page.
Rules that are easy to state — and take years of practice to truly absorb.
