Professional experience

Ekaterina specializes in complex cross-border disputes, including interstate matters, commercial arbitration and litigation. She has represented states, companies and private clients in courts, governmental agencies and leading arbitration institutions, including LMAA, SAC, HKIAC, LCIA.

Ekaterina is a certified expert in sanctions matters.

Ekaterina's relevant experience includes representing:

A sovereign state before the ICJ in the case concerning the Application of the International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism and of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination;
A sovereign state in an LCIA arbitration in connection with an alleged breach by the issuer of the terms of sovereign Eurobonds;
A leading global producer of fertilisers against its former partners in the commercial court of an EU country over the recovery of damages for tort;
A founder of a fintech company in a corporate conflict and related HKIAC arbitration proceedings;
A Russian coal producer in a dispute with European coal traders;
A high-profile manager in one of the largest disputes in Russia regarding the prosecution of top managers following the bank’s bailout;
A group of Russian fishing companies in an LMAA arbitration against an Asian reefer fleet operator in a dispute arising out of a multi-year Contract for Affreightment governed by English law;
A bank in several parallel proceedings in European countries within a project related to the recovery of funds under a syndicated loan;
A group of Russian clients in obtaining a series of Cyprus court orders, including discovery, in support of foreign proceedings.
